What happens when you call.

  1. You call (000) 000-0000 or send the form below. Christian answers, asks three questions about the roof, and books a visit for that week. Highland, Troy and Glen Carbon are usually the next day.
  2. With your okay, he goes up, photographs every slope and valley, and shows you the photos before leaving the driveway. He tells you what he saw in plain words. If you would rather nobody climbs, he measures from the ground and the estimate says so.
  3. The written estimate is in your email the same week. Itemized, one total, good for thirty days. The number on the paper is the number you pay.
  4. On build day the crew is on site at seven. Tear-off to the deck, rotten decking swapped at the per-sheet price printed on the estimate, ice and water shield at the eaves and valleys, synthetic underlayment, then the shingle you picked from the major brands. Most houses are closed up by dark.
  5. The crew runs the magnet over the lawn and driveway twice, hauls the dumpster, and emails you the finished-roof photos and the warranty paperwork that night.

What we do on a roof, and what we do around it.

Ask about one of these
  • Roof replacement Full tear-off, then architectural shingles from the major brands, your pick of color. A single-family house in Highland or Troy is usually finished in one day.
  • Roof repair Lifted ridge caps, cracked pipe boots, chimney flashing that let go, a slope that shed shingles in a spring wind. Fixed the same week, patch matched to the roof.
  • Storm damage inspection After hail or wind, with your permission, Christian walks the roof, photographs every slope and explains what he found. If something is open to the weather, the crew tarps it first and puts the repair in writing.
  • Commercial and flat roofs TPO and modified bitumen on shops, small warehouses and the flat sections of split-levels, from Highland to Granite City.
  • Siding Vinyl and fiber cement, with the house wrap and flashing done right behind it. Matched to an existing wall after a storm, or the whole house.
  • Gutters and downspouts 5-inch and 6-inch seamless aluminum, run on site and hung the day the roof is done.
  • Windows Replacement windows set in existing openings, flashed and foamed, trimmed inside and out.
  • Soffit and fascia Aluminum wrap over rotted wood, vented where the attic needs intake.

Reviews go here once the first roofs are on.

Ascend Restoration is new, so there are no Google reviews to show yet. These three slots are reserved for the first three, with a first name, a town and a date, and the photo of the job each one is about.

Four years on other people's roofs. Now his own name on the truck.

Christian spent four years tearing off and laying shingles on crews across the Metro East before he started Ascend Restoration in Highland. He knows the Madison County roofs: the 1970s ranches in Troy and Glen Carbon, the brick two-stories around Edwardsville, the long low shops along Route 143.

Residential and commercial, repairs and full replacements, with architectural shingles from the major brands. The estimate is itemized so you can compare it to anyone else's line by line.

I ask one thing: let me walk the roof before I price it. I promise one thing: the paper and the phone say the same number.

Two counties, one truck leaving Highland at six-thirty.

Highland sits on the I-70 side of Madison County, so Troy, Glen Carbon, Edwardsville and Collinsville are usually a next-day look. Down I-64 to Belleville, O'Fallon and Shiloh, give us two or three days. Farther out, Christian will tell you on the phone.

Questions people ask us.

Do you need to get on my roof to give me a price?
Only with your permission. Christian asks before the ladder goes up, photographs every slope, and shows you the photos before he leaves. If you would rather nobody climbs, he measures from the ground and the photos, and the estimate says so.
How fast is the written estimate?
The same week as the visit, by email, itemized. If you need it sooner for a closing, say so on the call and it moves up.
What happens after a storm?
Call us. If water is coming in, the crew comes out the same day or the next morning to tarp the open spots. Christian photographs the roof, explains what he found, and writes up the repair. Nothing goes in the estimate that is not in a photo you have seen.
How long does a replacement take?
A single-family house with one layer of shingles takes one day with the full crew. Two layers, a steep pitch or a lot of dormers can push it to two. We tell you which before we start, and the roof is never left open overnight.
What does the licence line on this page mean?
Illinois requires anyone roofing for pay to hold a state roofing contractor licence, and the licence name and number must appear on advertising. Ascend Restoration's number goes here before this page goes live, and anyone can check it on the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation licence lookup.
